Yeah those look pretty similar GMB. I personally am not a fan at all of Donald's release, he has way to much right arm thrusting and clubface roll through impact for my taste. If youre goal is to improve your ballstriking i wouldnt spend anytime listening to Brian's ideas on the new release, there have been many great players and great ballstrikers who have been and are "handle draggers". I believe the Donald new release type release is just way to timing dependent, he obviously makes it work for him, but i definitely wouldnt want to have to time that stall and flip/roll release day in and dayout.

Yeah i think Toms is about as good as it gets through impact, i much prefer his swing to howell. Notice how much more bent Davids right arm is as compared to Howell eventhough its later in the swing. Keeping the right arm bent and in close to his side helps him keep the clubface much more stable through impact. You can see that Howells right arm has straightened and his clubface is more turned down than Davids, whereas David keeps the clubface looking at the target longer with a slower rate of closure postimpact.

CHIII is now working with Grant Waite on his swing. I expect things to change for the better and they already appear that they are.

So trying not to slide, maybe I am not because I sure seem to be struggling getting ball first contact, missing tons of shots heavy. It makes sense in my mind because I probably used that slide to get to the ball.
Playing one of the great courses in Phx tomorrow Desert Mountain and expectations are very low.

I think I am getting this feeling of ER with the right leg, then move the left leg to ER to start the transition. Will have to grab some video. It seems to translate to the driver much better right now.
I think the backswing is still an issue, I don't understand how to do it. I have people saying more thoracic extension so tilt left while you rotate which pulls me left, I have others saying you are to far left or centered and have no choice but to slide so you need to be behind it more than you are. Then there is the actually how to do it mechanically that I can' figure out.
